After all, teachers have given it their all this year, and we want them to know how much they mean to us and our children. Or, spread the love far and wide by sharing these words of wisdom in your social media posts during Teacher Appreciation Week, celebrated May 8–12, 2023, with the hashtag #ThankATeacher. Grab your favorite pen and write one of these short, inspirational teacher quotes in a card (for extra credit, include a personal thank-you note from you or your student to go along with it). How can we show our gratitude? This collection of best teacher quotes is a great place to begin. Though we’re not quite sure how time keeps flying by so fast, we do know that our kids have grown so much this school year, thanks in large part to dedicated and hardworking teachers. Now, we’ve zoomed past spring break and are already planning summer activities and crafts. He played a huge part in making me what I am today. It seems like only yesterday that we were taking first-day school photos and slipping encouraging back to school quotes into lunch boxes. The mediocre student in me will be forever grateful to him for teaching with so much passion. I spoke to him over the phone and thanked him. I even scored full marks in my class 10 Board Examination. He turned the dull and boring subject into something I love doing just for fun. He developed a spark in me to study mathematics. Impact On My Life | I scored the highest marks in Mathematics in my class 9. That was the moment he became my all-time favourite teacher. I was struck with awe when I saw him teaching the kids there with the same level of passion and zeal he used to teach us in the school. I remember once he took our entire class to the slum area. He was connected with many NGOs and went to teach underprivileged kids in slums on weekends. He used to teach poor kids for free in the evening. Inspiration To Students | He was also involved in many social activities. I realised that day Anirudh sir is a favourite of many. On the teacher’s day, he even won the best teacher award. Even my classmates used to take his help and fondly called him sir counsellor. Whenever I got confused or troubled with any problem – from a small long division sum to choosing my career, I went to him, and he solved all my problems in seconds. There were days when I looked for Sunday to pass, just to be in the Mathematics class on Mondays. We never ever felt any discomfort or fear in his presence he turned the class into a convivial and jolly place single-handedly. Way Of Teaching | He used funny and catchy rhyming tricks to make us learn the hard mathematics formulas. Even the weakest students in the class including me were slowly improving in the exams because of him. Furthermore, he was always very patient and friendly. Not only that, but he never scolded anyone for doing any of the work wrong. He taught his students in a way no other teacher did. He is and will always be my favourite teacher. Now I am in class 12, and he really did change my favourite subject. I was afraid that he was going to be upset over my answer, but to my shock, he smiled and said, “We will change that by the end of this year.” When he asked me, I abruptly said, “I don’t like Mathematics, and history is my favourite subject.” In his first-class itself, he gently and in a very calm way introduced himself and went to each and every student to ask about their hobbies and favourite subjects. But it all changed in class 9 when Anirudh Kumar became our mathematics teacher. I was never a really bright student in my class, I used to love other subjects, but mathematics was always my weak subject. All these reasons made her my favourite teacher. She rarely scolds any student, and she has never struck someone. She tries to explain them using different techniques, but there is never a slight bit of frustration or anger in her tone. She is always gentle and calm with students who don’t understand fundamental theories. Whenever I can’t understand anything in Social Science, I ask her in the group, and she replies instantly, solving my doubts in minutes. She even made a social media group so we can contact her especially when we have any doubts anytime. She is also one of those teachers that guides us whenever we are stuck with doubts. She keeps checking on everyone from the first bench to the last bench in her class. She uses stories and pictures to teach the theory. But she makes these subjects fascinating by using her unique way of teaching. Most of my classmates from other sections complained about how boring these subjects were.
